Storyline: When two graduate astrophysicists stationed at a remote station discover that the sun is about to be extinguished by a burst from a dying star, they have to reconcile with themselves what really matters in the end. Light from the sun takes 8:17 to reach the earth – if you knew that you only had that much time left, how would you spend it? What would you do? What really matters when your time is up – or who?

[MAXINE, FEMALE LEAD (PREVIOUSLY CALLED CORA)] Early-to-mid 30’s woman, all ethnicities. An astrophysics graduate researcher – brilliant, but in a slightly out-of-reality way. Very direct, very passionate, has no issues explaining what she’s thinking at any time. Deep emotional swings and has conflicting feelings for Isaac. Playful, pixie-dream girl, the one-you-never-caught type. LEAD

[ISAAC, MALE LEAD] Early-to-mid 30’s male –all ethnicities. An astrophysics graduate researcher who was a “boy genius.” He has become disillusioned with his work overtime, and struggles to understand others and himself, or communicate his emotional battles. Philosophical, introspective, emotionally volatile. He is caught between resigning himself to his fate and trying to use the last chance he has to win over Maxine. LEAD
